3 Simple Steps to Change Your Life

Let’s try something different…

We are now far enough into the new year to realize that new year’s resolutions don’t work.

But rather than feeling guilt and shame about that, how about we dig into how to make change really happen in your life?

There is science, neurology and biochemistry involved in our vision and dreams for our future. You can use these to your advantage with just a few simple changes in your routine. My book “Goals Set to Goals Met” walks you through an effective system of achieving your dreams and goals with clear step-by-step instructions.

I strongly encourage you to get a copy of that book, but here are three of those steps – easy (and free!) – to help get you started:

  1. Write your dreams down on paper. Something happens in our brain (in the reticular activating system, to be precise) when we write a goal down. So take a few minutes to dream and make a list.
  2. Review your goals regularly – at least weekly, and I recommend daily. First thing each morning, get out your list and simply read them out loud to yourself.
  3. Find a goals partner with whom you can share your goals and your goals journey with. This person will add fuel to the fire of your desire to get where you want to go. They will help you focus, and then re-focus, on the target.

I guarantee that if you tackle even two out of these three steps, you will look back in one year and be amazed at what you have done. You will count the items on your dream list, and relish each check mark.
