I believe that one way to define our work here at Delta Chiropractic Center is “Life Savers”. Our office is known as “A Place of Healing”. But that is an understatement. We are saving lives in our work here!
I recently saw an article that discussed the way the medical system in our country seems to suck people in deeper and deeper into their medications, tests and surgeries.
It is apparent that once you start treatment, many (or most) people are convinced that they need more and more prescriptions, with all of their unpredictable interactions and side effects. This leads to more symptoms, more and more invasive tests, and finally surgeries and all of the nasty side effects from those.
The takeaway from that article for me was – Do whatever you can to stay out of the medical machine.
Granted, our modern medical machine does some wonderful things – particularly in the areas of emergency intervention. When you are bleeding to death, have broken a bone, or have a tumor robbing you of your life, there is nothing better than your local expert M.D. or D.O. to get things under control.
But other than those issues, I would encourage you to do everything you can to stay out of the machine.
Eat well. Keep fruits and vegies at the top of your intake.
Stay hydrated with water. (Half your body weight in ounces of water each day.)
Exercise moderately but consistently.
Deal with your stress wisely.
Get adjusted regularly to keep your nerve system functioning at 100%.
Take care of your soul. Stay right with God by believing what He tells us in His word.
There is a lot to be said on each of these topics. I delve into them more thoroughly in my book “Reservoir of Better Health”. You can get it at our office or by clicking HERE.
I’m convinced that by following these suggestions, you will extend your life AND add real LIFE to your years.
Yes, we are actually saving lives here at Delta Chiropractic Center as we assist and coach our patients in these areas. Our purpose is to aim to have patients who are healthy and satisfied, and who tell their friends all about it.
Join us! We are here to help you get well and stay well. We’ll see you soon!
